Liliya Hrynevych initiated discussion of the bills “On Higher Education” that was held on February 20, in the National Aviation University.
During her speech, she expressed gratitude to the professionals present at the meeting for profound and professional conversation providing a number of ideas and suggestions. L.Hrynevych noted also that as a Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Education, she is well aware of her responsibility before the society, for this very convocation of the Parliament may adopt the Law “On Higher Education”. This Law will determine the scope of development of higher education in Ukraine for the next decade. That is why, she believes, there is a need in broad expert and social discussion.
“Education is public value and public domain. It is society which should form orders for the system of education. Today the society demands higher quality of education and we should respect it,” noted the Chairperson of the Committee.
40 rectors of higher educational institutions of Kyiv region, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sport Ye.M. Sulima, Head of the Councils of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of І –ІІ accreditation degree of Kyiv A.K. Pokhresnyk, Head of the Kyiv Trade Union of Education and Science of Ukraine O.M. Yatsun and other guests participated in the meeting of the Councils of Rectors.
